Annika's Newborn Session

Annika’s session was actually a series of sessions. Between my exhaustion and her wanting to nurse frequently (she must have smelled me every time I leaned to adjust her position), we had to do 1-2 poses per day.

Dustin is a huge golf fan. He loves to play and watch. Since Annika’s name was inspired from that fandom (Annika Sorenstam), we had to plan a set with his golf gear. Trouble was, at this point, she was very much over the whole idea of a photo shoot.

I introduced Butters on this blog back when I announced my pregnancy. Look how he has grown! He is totally in love with Annika and I had to shove him out of every shot. Of course, when the time came to incorporate him in our Wizard of Oz set, I had to bribe him to sit near her by putting treats in that basket with her!

All the stuffed figures are Hallmark Itty Bittys. I caught them on special in store and online.

My mother crocheted the sweetest little outfit, blanket, and bunny for Annika! The outfit fit her perfectly! She looks like a little baby doll. ❤️

(Many bribes were required to get these three to sit together behind Annika. Ziva (our diva of a chihuahua) still had to position herself away from DiNozzo and Butters for a quick getaway in case I released the treat.)
